In 1925, Vilim Meser founded the Celeritas Sports Club in Kutjevo, which lasted until World War II. After the war, in 1946, he revived football and a football club called "NK Mladost".

In 1952, at the assembly of the settlement, the name of the club was changed to "NK Dinamo", which represented Kutjevo football until 1969, when the patronage of the club was taken over by the Agricultural and Food Combine Kutjevo and the club was named "PPK Kutjevo" under which excellent results were recorded. , invests significantly in infrastructure and the club becomes one of the leaders in the region.

Today, the club plays under the name NK Kutjevo (Kutjevo F.C.) and competes in the 3rd HNL East. The club has skipped three ranks in the past three seasons, so in the 2019/20 season, after 25 years, it will play again in the third tier of Croatian football.

The ambitious management, led by President Ivica Malnar and the initiator of this project, player-mayor Josip Budimir, has made a huge leap forward both in terms of results and infrastructure, so SRC Kutjevo is currently a beautiful place where footballers and athletes from other sports branches gather.

The newly renovated Fitness Center offers facilities to all citizens of the City of Kutjevo, and work is underway on arranging new sports fields and the interior of the stadium complex.
