Sovsko Lake is a unique example of a natural lake in the hilly and hilly area of continental Croatia. It is surrounded by a forest of sessile oak and hornbeam, and a forest of beech, while the lake is overgrown with reeds, sedges and other wetland grasses, which gives it charm and original natural beauty.
The interesting thing lies in the fact that Sovsko Lake is assumed to be a remnant of the Pannonian Sea, because fossilized remains of marine organisms have been found here in its depths. Sovsko Lake is known for its good tourist potential, so it has become a famous picnic spot, and many hikers are attractive for walks on freshly mowed glades, as well as a walk through the surrounding forest and a lookout with a beautiful view.
